The passive GL-7 DM (Guitar Large) Q-tuner for 7 string guitar, combines the power of high-performance neodymium magnets with greater efficiency "free standing" air coils.
The most noticable sonic feature of the GL-7 is the extremely linear frequency response. Optimized winding geometry to give ideal value/dcr ratios; hence, maximum humbucking action.
Now, coil modifications are also possible! In order to meet the growing interest in a neodymium bridge Q-tuner for metal/rock guitar, all GL's can be 'beefed-up' to Super High Z ratios. Super High Z Q-tuners can be typified as having an amazingly aggressive but yet well defined overdrive sound.
Available in Super High Z (bridge), High Z (bridge, neck) and Medium Z (neck) versions and they come protected with transparent covers. Check out the gallery for pictures.
