Ash body in fiesta red at 5lbs, with Macassar ebony fretboard / Maple neck, standard tuners and stainless steel frets. I wanted something special for this bass and the Q-Tuners were recommended to me by Skip at Knuckle Guitar Works. I was struck by their appearance right away. I'm very happy to say the pickups delivered much more than their stunning looks: clear and powerful lows, sweet musical midrange with a wonderful natural chime and shimmer on the highend, nothing muddy or shrill at all to be heard. They are perfectly balanced and voiced and what really strikes me with these handmade pickups is the higher notes have the same power, clarity, volume and definition as the lowest notes, it's an unreal experience to hear your bass this way and a real pleasure.
